to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
MyCrownity is a directory and discovery platform that allows users to search for textured-hair professionals and
allows professionals to create profiles showcasing their services. MyCrownity is not a party to hairstyling
services arranged directly between a professional and a client unless expressly stated otherwise.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it reasonably current. You are
responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account. Notify
MyCrownity promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
A professional creating a profile confirms that she or they are permitted to offer the listed services and is
responsible for the accuracy of the profile. Services, prices, service area, contact information and other
relevant details should be kept current. A professional’s exact residential address should not be displayed
publicly by MyCrownity where it is collected only for location or search purposes, unless the professional
expressly chooses otherwise.
You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. By posting content to MyCrownity, you grant MyCrownity a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and, to the extent permitted by law, revocable licence to host, display,
reproduce and technically adapt that content as needed to operate, promote and improve the platform. You
confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to post it.
You may not use MyCrownity to post false or misleading information, impersonate another person, harass or
threaten others, publish illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights, manipulate reviews,
introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the site at scale, or use the platform in a way
that could harm MyCrownity or its users.
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and be submitted in good faith. MyCrownity may remove or limit the
visibility of reviews that appear fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant, unlawful or contrary to platform rules, but
MyCrownity is not required to verify every review before publication.
MyCrownity may offer free features and paid subscriptions. Applicable features, prices and benefits are those
displayed at the time of purchase. Except where otherwise required by law, fees already charged are nonrefundable. Applicable renewal, cancellation and billing terms must be presented when a subscription is
purchased.
A profile’s position in search results or featured areas may depend on factors such as geographic relevance,
selected filters, subscription level, profile quality or completeness and MyCrownity’s editorial choices. No
specific ranking or amount of exposure is guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.
MyCrownity may suspend, restrict or remove an account or content for violations of these Terms, suspected
fraud, security risks, platform abuse or legal requirements. Where reasonably appropriate, MyCrownity may
provide an opportunity to clarify or correct an issue.
MyCrownity aims to keep the platform available and functional but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Features may be added, changed, suspended or removed. These Terms may also be updated; where required
by law, users will be notified of material changes.
The MyCrownity name, visual identity, original copy, design, graphics and other content owned by MyCrownity
are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Use of the platform does not transfer ownership rights
to users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” MyCrownity does not
guarantee that a professional will meet a user’s needs or that a professional will receive any particular number
of clients, views, contacts or bookings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyCrownity is not responsible for acts, omissions, services, injuries,
losses, damages or disputes attributable to an independent professional or another user. Nothing in these
Terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Montreal, Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to mandatory consumer rights in a
user’s province or territory.
