Requests for access, correction, withdrawal of consent or privacy complaints may be directed to this person
Depending on how you use MyCrownity, we may collect:
• account information such as name, business or professional name, email address and login credentials;
• professional profile information such as biography, services, prices, photographs, videos, social links,
contact information and service area;
• location information such as province, city and, where provided, postal code or address. An exact address
supplied for search or location purposes is not intended to be displayed publicly unless expressly chosen;
• reviews, ratings, messages or other content you choose to submit;
• technical and usage information such as IP address, device or browser type, pages viewed, interactions,
technical logs and cookies, depending on the tools enabled on the site;
• subscription or transaction information where paid features are used. Payment-card data may be
processed directly by a payment provider rather than by MyCrownity.
We may use personal information to create and administer accounts; display and manage professional profiles;
allow users to search for professionals by city, area or other criteria; facilitate contact between users and
professionals; provide, secure, troubleshoot and improve the platform; prevent abuse and fraud; administer
subscriptions and payments where applicable; respond to support requests; send service communications;
and, where required consent has been obtained, send marketing communications.
Location is a core feature of MyCrownity. We may use city, province and, where applicable, postal code or other
location data to help clients find professionals in their area. Where MyCrownity collects an exact address only
to improve search or location functionality, that address should be treated as private and should not appear on
the public profile unless the professional expressly chooses otherwise
MyCrownity may use cookies required for site functionality and, depending on the tools enabled, analytics,
preference or marketing cookies. Where applicable law requires choice or consent, non-essential technologies
should only be activated in accordance with the user’s choices.
We may share certain information with providers that help us operate MyCrownity, such as hosting, security,
email/SMTP, analytics, mapping or location, email marketing, technical support and payment-processing
providers. These providers should receive only the information needed for their functions and are subject to
applicable contractual and legal requirements. We may also disclose information where required or permitted
by law.
Some technology providers may process or store information outside Québec or Canada. Where applicable law
requires it, MyCrownity assesses risks and implements required measures or agreements before such
transfers. Information may then be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.
MyCrownity retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it
was collected, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect platform security. Retention schedules
and deletion or anonymization procedures should be applied in accordance with applicable law.
MyCrownity uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature
of the information it holds. No system is entirely risk-free, however, and MyCrownity cannot guarantee absolute
security.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information MyCrownity holds about you,
request correction, withdraw consent where that right applies, or make a complaint about our handling of
personal information. You may also request account closure, subject to information MyCrownity must retain for
legal or legitimate purposes. To exercise these rights: contact@mycrownity.com
Emails necessary to operate an account, such as verification, security or important service notices, are service
communications. Promotional or marketing communications will be sent in accordance with applicable
requirements and, where an unsubscribe mechanism is required, you may use it to stop receiving those
messages
MyCrownity is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot provide valid
consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has improperly provided personal information to us, please
contact us.
MyCrownity may update this Policy when its practices, features or obligations change. The latest update date
will appear at the top of the page, and users will be notified of changes where required by law.
